The manager for the Architecture and Portfolio Management is taking up new challenges in the group and we are looking for his successor.

The overall mission for the group is to support PD IT with long term architecture, portfolio planning, capacity planning and to ensure that the new assignments are handled within the PD IT organization. The group consists of four architects and two project managers.

As a manager of Architecture and Portfolio Management your tasks typically are: 
  • Motivating, engaging and developing your co-workers
  • Work in the department management team
  • Lead the technology steering
  • Represent PD IT in various forums like PQ, CQ or the Green Arrow Pulse at product development
  • Be the Digital Officer of PD IT
  • Lead small cross functional assignments when needed
  • Coordinate the overall capacity planning within the R&D area
  • Being part of the initiation of all new PD projects and ensuring that the IT part is handled by the correct organizations
  • Support the business development of PD IT

You have experience in leadership. You probably have knowledge within some of the fields product development, CAD, PDM, product structures, aftersales, production, embedded systems. You easily work independently, you are unafraid to take decisions and you naturally represent the hole of IT.
You understand the business that we are supporting, you build a contact network there, visit and understand the reality of the users and have a natural understanding of that we exist for supporting the business with superior IT solutions. You also understand that we now work in the VW family especially cooperating with the other brands within VW Truck&Bus, and you see the advantages that this creates.
You understand the era of disruptive industries and the importance of knowledge. You continuously work to learn and increase your own knowledge. You understand that knowledge is crucial for our business and you create a climate where the employees can increase and nourish their knowledge.
