Would you like to participate in changing the world to something better? The department Autonomous Systems is responsible for developing future Autonomous Transport Solutions (ATS). One of the key responsibilities is developing the next generation of vehicle platform related to the ATS environment. This is done within the Section Autonomous Continuous Integration Platform and include design and test of the complete vehicle platform, enabling state-of-the-art development-, simulation- and logging environment. Our aim is to have the best suitable computational environment, allowing fast software and hardware interactions for our ATS development teams.

We are now looking for first line manager for the Autonomous Computational Platform.

You will be responsible for the group working with the Autonomous Computational Platform. The group consists of around 10 highly experienced and motivated Engineers. This position is located in Södertälje.

Example of group responsibilities are base software and middle ware for the ATS systems, HW near SW (decoders, drivers, etc), test rigs and troubleshooting of the ATS systems.

You will have a mix of tasks in terms of recruitment, competence development, coaching of employees, supporting improvement work both within the group, section and cross functionally. You also support the teams in the group in their collaboration with other teams as well as other key stakeholders within and outside of the department.

You will work closely with the other managers within and outside of the department, as well as contribute to the section management team work such as strategical planning and organization development.

Your profile
You are a natural and proven leader with passion for leadership. You have the ability to see people and to trust in others. You are strong in building teams and in cross-functional work and you are communicative, show drive and are energized by challenges.

We are looking for a can-do mentality. To fit the expectations of the role we think you have managerial and leadership experience, feel highly motivated by the mission and challenges within our area of responsibility, have worked with Embedded systems, are experienced and interested in agile development methods and that you have a graduate or master's degree in engineering or equivalent (B.Sc., M.Sc. and/or PhD).

Experience of CI-pipeline is an advantage. Knowledge about Scania´s methods and processes is meritorious. Diversity is the normal situation in our development's teams, hence, international experience and cultural awareness will definitely be a benefit.
