As a design engineer within the group Cooling System, you will play an important role in developing the design of the cooling system in future Scania trucks. In future vehicles the challenge will be to find solutions for minimizing energy losses and using available energy with systems such as hybridization and waste heat recovery, and at the same time making sure all components are kept at the ideal temperature ensuring optimal performance and durability with low cost, weight and noise.

The group consists of twelve design engineers, one project manager, and a group manager. We are a creative team that applies its expertise and knowledge to technical projects concerning cooling systems. We are now looking to expand our group with one design engineer that wants to join us and make a difference in creating the world's best cooling system.

Your assignment

You will be part of a dynamic workplace with varied and challenging work assignments. You will work with 3D-modelling in Catia V5, multi-functional problem solving, project planning, and having a lot of fun! The work includes cooperation with engineers from service, production, testing, calculation, other design groups, and purchasing. We focus on a collaborative environment where everyone participates in driving projects forward. As a new employee you will receive the full backing and support from all team members.

You will be a part of a team that believes that delivery is important and team spirit is everything. You need to be able to work together with others but we also expect you to be self-going and take responsibility for the details in your own work. You will be encouraged to develop deeper understanding of the thermal management system and contribute to improvements on both product and processes. We believe that is the best way to create a meaningful and challenging role for you.
