Development engineer within Advanced Combustion Development

We are looking for you that love technical challenges and want to apply your skills in the development of our future IC engines. Now you have the possibility to work in the frontier of R&D and stretch the borderline for how far we can further develop our IC engines.

Our team NMEF is responsible of research and pre-development of combustion systems for our future IC engines. One of our most important goal is to find and develop technical solutions that leads to improved fuel consumption and also less green house gases.

We are a relatively small team with a wide contact network, both within our company as well with external research partners, which gives you a unique opportunity to further develop your competence and meet new people.

The team consist of eight engineers/researchers with a wide knowledge within IC engines natural science, energy conversion and development methods/tools. We have a good team spirit and a common goal, to develop the best IC engines in the world for on road HD vehicles.

We are mainly focusing on research and early predevelopment, not yet decided for production, which gives us a unique opportunity to deepen our knowledge and try new technical solutions.

Your assignments

The assignment includes research and pre-development of future combustion systems for HD vehicles with focus on high thermal efficiency. The main part of the work is focused on the Diesel process but also alternative combustion processes and fuels will be included. Scania is using simulation based development methods and experiences using 1D and 3D simulation tools for ICE (Internal Combustion Engines) development is a merit.

Your profile

We are looking for you that want to be part of a dedicated team with ambitions to develop the most efficient HD IC Engine in the world. You should have a master degree and preferably experiences within IC engines development/research with focus on combustion processes or related areas
