Who are we?
At Cloud Adoption we are currently 6 cloud engineers divided over two teams, Foundation and Security. Here are a few bullets that describe us:
- Evangelists for cloud and new tech, open minded and forward thinking
- Challenge blockers, very few things are considered impossible
- Not only work together, lift each other
- Prestige or stubbornness is not our thing
The idea behind our teams is to have people with diverse technical backgrounds and personalities. Our various backgrounds, should be considered one of our super-powers, and currently include:
- Solution Architects
- Infra Architects and Technicians
What is our mission?
The Cloud Adoption mission is to lead and run the cloud transformation within Scania and provide a modern development platform and be an enabler for the organization to adopt the cloud.
The Cloud Security Teams mission:
Increase organizational awareness of Cloud security through training and constant communication. Creating a risk aware culture that makes continuous security compliance the responsibility of the many and not of the few.
In practice this boils down to these major duties:
- Build a Secure Cloud Foundation platform
- Prevent, Detect and Respond to Cloud Security events
- Accelerate teams to Build, Run and Secure their workloads in the Cloud
- Advocate Cyber Security in the Cloud
- Being a "Centre of Excellence" for Cloud Security
What do we offer?
As a team member of the Cloud Adoption Security team, you will get work with the topics mentioned above, in combination with building valuable connections with various teams across Scania.
We also have a tight collaboration with AWS and other partners, which allows us to participate in various forums, meetings and events (AWS Summit, re:Invent, re:Inforce, to mention some).
As part of the Volkswagen Group, Scania is one of the leaders in Cloud Development. Being a Cloud ambassador for Scania among Volkswagen brands is natural and very import for our Cloud journey.
