Our Exciting Opportunity
To meet the demand of our growing patent licensing business, the IPR and Licensing is building for the future. In addition to securing freedom-of-action for Ericsson on the telecom market, substantial revenues are built through Intellectual Property Rights (IPR). Ericsson currently has some 54,000 granted patents and more than 100 patent-licensing agreements in place.

This position is within the team called Kista PU-RAN1, which works closely with Ericsson Research on protecting Standard Essential Patents (SEPs). Also, the team is actively working with improving the ways of working and education program.

We are now looking for a Patent Assistant/Paralegal to assist the Patent Professionals in the patent organization. You will ensure that the administrative part of patent portfolio management, i.e. filing and prosecuting patent applications is performed in accordance with our internal policies and patent law. You will collaborate with Patent Professionals, Inventors, Patent Unit Managers, Outside Counsels / Law firms, Licensing department.

You will
• Handle and process documents with related term dates which are an integral part of the process of patenting products and methods
• File patent applications and pursue protection for the patent applications with the patent office
• Prepare and review Patent Finance documents
• Assist the attorney in handling project assignments, when required
• Be based in Stockholm, Sweden and will report to the Director Patent Unit RAN1

To be successful in the role you must have
• Bachelor's degree and/or paralegal certificate or equivalent
• At least 2 years of experience within a patent-related administration work
• Genuine interest and some knowledge of patent process, local laws and regulations
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Proficiency in English, both written and spoken
