Our Exciting Opportunity

Ericsson Automation & AI Automation Team is searching for an AI Architect that will be a central role to optimal AI lifecycle, using the data from an operational system that feeds the tools used for discovery, analysis, and Machine Learning (ML). The role offers an exciting and broad area of challenges like: take care of sophisticated aspects of information management, Application, Platform and Data architecture to define and manage the overall solution architecture and interdependencies between the AI/ML architectural components.

In addition to the AI expertise and data-driven mentality the AI architect will apply knowledge information, applications, and infrastructure environment as well as the current technology landscape to design a holistic and optimized AI platform.

You will

  • Operationalizing AI, mapping requirements to implementation, selecting the appropriate technologies, and evaluating non-functional attributes such as security, usability, and stability.
  • Setting up AI/ML processing environments in IT landscape is a must.
  • Mapping the IT and security process to AI process.
  • Influencing and working with business partners to establish and accelerate AI adoption.
  • Audit AI solutions for architecture, scalability and security; especially in an enterprise landscape with cloud as a priority.
  • Selecting technology - selecting appropriate technologies from the many open source, commercial on-premises, and cloud-based offerings available. Integrating a new generation of tools within the existing environment is also to help ensure access to accurate and current data. Because technology in this domain is evolving rapidly,
  • Ensures that components can be replaced with well-suited alternatives that do not require any adjustment or downtime.
  • selecting new technologies like Functional and non functional requirements - considering aspects like security, usability and stability


To be successful in the role you must have

  • Master's Degree in computer science or a related subject area, such as data science, applied mathematics, electrical engineering, or systems engineering or a Bachelor's Degree with a proven track record in a similar role.
  • 10+ years of technology leadership within major AI or software-centric programs in industry, academia, or government, including at least 2 years of technical leadership within major AI programs
  • Experience with leading commercial and Open Source AI / ML / Data Science platforms. Databricks, MLFlow knowledge is an advantage.
  • Architectural experience with a broad range of current machine learning tools (e.g., Python, Spark, TensorFlow, Spark, Theano, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, Keras, Nvidia Digits) and collaboration environments (e.g. Jupyter notebooks, PyCharm)
  • ML Technologies: NLP, Computer Vision and related technologies.
  • Back end web-services: Java, Spring Boot, Python, Kubernetes, Docker
  • Big Data technologies: Kafka, Apache Spark, MapR, Hbase, Hive, HDFS etc.
  • Experience of cloud reference architectures for ML/AI modernization including CI/CD pipelines.
