Our Exciting Opportunity

Radio SW strives to be the most competitive Radio Network R&D unit in the industry. We develop and maintain competitive, high-quality Radio products which give our customers solutions securing future growth. We currently develop LTE, WCDMA and GSM, as well as CDMA and 5G Network solutions to operators all over the world.

CRM (Common Radio Modules) Radio SW is part of the Product Development Unit Radio within Development Unit Networks. We are based in Stockholm (Kista) with operations also in Canada, Croatia and China. With high energy and engagement, we continue to strengthen our organization, and we are now searching for a Lead OPO (Operative Product Owner) at CRM Radio SW who looks for new challenges and wants to be part of Radio SW working with multi-standard Radio products.

We have a high focus on our Radio SW architecture, our development flow and our quality. By evolving the agile and lean way of working and by involving individuals and leaders on all levels, we continuously challenge everything we do to seek and drive improvements.

The Lead OPO we are looking for shall be part of our Radio SW OPO function which is the owner of the Radio SW backlog and thus has the governance responsibility of the global Radio SW to make sure that we always have an updated and prioritized backlog. As a Lead OPO, you will have the overall responsibility of the SW backlog in an RA (Requirement Area) and do prioritizations within that RA and also between RAs when needed. You are also a key player in the area of Capability planning of the RA. The RA has about 20 SW development teams and in all RAs there are over 90 XFT's globally in the Radio organization. The total number of people in the RA, considering HW, systems and other disciplines is in the area of 1000 people.

We expect you to be willing to step forward - taking responsibility and actively driving solutions to issues as well as taking part in all aspects of the OPO role. We also expect you to live by Ericsson core values- professionalism, respect and perseverance.

CRM Radio SW provides the possibility to work with the latest technology within telecommunication development such as our 5G Radios, Ericsson Radio DOT system, mRRU and AIR products. We provide an open working climate and diversity where all opinions and contributions are appreciated!

As an Operative Product Owner

  • You will be part of RA solution team to secure Radio SW participation in concept studies and prioritize the items in Radio SW RA backlog. You will be SPOC towards CA (Continued Analysis) Kanban Masters to support OA (Opportunity Analyses) studies.


  • You will lead the RSW (Radio Software) Core team and balance between the capability for studies in the solution team, OA/DMS and supporting execution. You will participate in RA meetings to represent the OPO function as well make sure there is a continually updated RSW capability view for the RA.


  • You will work close with RA lead, other OPO's, capability manager, line and teams to make sure the ask for work is in balance with the available capability set for the RA.


To be successful in the role you must have
  • A strong background in leading technical teams
  • Deep experience in product development with a good understanding of systemization, design and verification
  • Willingness to communicate, share information and help others
  • Strong leadership skills in line with Ericsson core values
  • Interest and a good understanding of the concepts of Lean and Agile ways of working
  • Appreciation for teamwork, a genuine interest in people and a good communication skills
  • Ability to work across organizational boundaries
  • A large degree of flexibility and willingness to take on different tasks
  • Business and customer focus with high accountability to deliver results
