We are now looking for s senior specialist in order to strengthen and maintain the PDU (Product Development Unit) Packet Core position.

#Senior specialist på Mobila Paket System

You will

  • Specialize in Mobile Packet System Robustness and Resilience of the future technology and solution evolution
  • Provide competence and knowledge on how to best build a system that is robust and resilient by working in the 3GPP domain and also supporting the PDU Packet Core implementation
  • Be responsible for various restoration mechanisms for services or packet core nodes including failure notification and detection, and (re)selection of an (alternative) nodes for current solutions and for new type of services in 5G and beyond

The domain competence for this specialist position includes
  • 3GPP standardization work on layer 3
  • Network based restoration procedures in EPS and 5GS (and beyond) for different failure scenarios
  • Network based Load control and overload control over GTP/PFCP and 5G (and beyond) service-based interface, including mechanism of rebalancing of the load and overload enforcement
  • Detailed signalling interactions in EPS and 5GS (and beyond) between mobility management node and session management node and
  • Detailed signalling interactions between control plane node and user plane node

To be successful in the role you must have

  • MSc level in a technical field
  • Good experience of Packet Core product development, research, or system engineering
  • High competence and interest in 3GPP protocols and procedures especially
  • Good knowledge about 3GPP standards
  • Packet Core Mobility management expertise
  • Willingness to travel and ability to lead and work in teams with members in different organizations and locations
  • Ability to manage to drive your work tasks independently
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent written and spoken English
  • A positive "can-do" attitude!
