Our Exciting Opportunity !

Packet Core Systems & Technology (S&T) drives the technology evolution of mobile Packet Core networks. Our mission is to transform industry trends, concepts, ideas, and innovations into business opportunities for our development unit and for Ericsson. S&T is a technology spearhead department that works in the forefront of technology with a focus that lies ahead of our development units.

We are now looking for a Line Manager for our Architecture & Business Evolution section. The section contains of a group of highly experienced System Managers, Senior Specialists and Experts that are fully dedicated to conducting end-to-end studies, proof of concepts, and architectural investigations in the Packet Core area for the medium to long term perspective. The unit also includes one specialized team working with Machine Learning/AI from a Packet Core perspective.

You will

  • Be responsible for managing and coaching of your personal, staffing of different activities requested from your unit, competence management, recruitment, and capability planning. The unit works closely with several different organizations within Ericsson and are often involved in customer engagements for presentations and discussions.
  • Be a member of the S&T Leadership Team where the ambition is to constantly improve and adapt our organization to better deliver on business objectives and to define the strategies that will take us forward.


To be successful in the role you must have

  • MSc level in a technical field
  • Solid People Leadership experience
  • Good technical understanding of mobile communications systems
  • Excellent written and spoken English
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Business understanding and customer insight
  • Critical thinking
  • Excellent coaching and mentoring skills
  • Experience from collaborating across time-zones, and organizational boundaries


Preferred qualifications

  • Knowledge about Ericsson Packet Core technologies and development processes
  • Personal interest in working with new technologies and innovation
