Our Exciting Opportunity

Our Experience Design team is seeking for a Senior User Researcher to gather unbiased research data from our users and capture meaningful and significant metrics to validate the UX of our products and services.

We are a multicultural UX team of 30+ passionate minds - designers, researchers, content strategist and developers - with designs spanning across the entire corporate portfolio, from network, revenue and security management to IoT connect vehicles, 5G smart factories, and fleet management applications. As part of our team, you will foster a culture of user experience in the development process and will be integrated in a global UX community driving for consistency through our organization.

You will focus on leading user research initiatives, understanding our customers/users motivations and identifying their problems. Your work - which will be multi-functional in nature - will span across the entire business units portfolio.

You have 5+ years of user research experience and a strong academic background. You must be self-motivated, willing to be challenged by management, specialists, development teams and customers, as well as work thoughtfully in building bridges between our offices globally.

This position reports to the Head of Op Experience Design.

You will

  • Define, plan, conduct and analyse user research, using a variety of methods, to ensure our digital products and services provide the best possible user experience and outcomes
  • Work within a multi-disciplinary team to identify and prioritise research and testing goals, and to deliver actionable research findings to help inform the design of our digital products and services
  • Turn research data into clear findings that inform decisions
  • Inspire, motivate and mentor creative teams
  • Advocate research findings to diverse audiences through written and oral presentations

To be successful in the role you must

  • Have (ideally) a degree in HCI, Cognitive Science, Psychology, Anthropology, or in a related field
  • Have extensive experience working in user research, including time spent working in fast-paced product teams
  • Have an end-to-end experience with all aspects of the user research lifecycle (study design, recruiting, moderation, analysis, reporting, communicating, budgeting research)
  • Master a range of research methods such as interviews, observations, surveys, usability testing, ideation workshops and analytics
  • Demonstrate knowledge of the technologies used to build and operate our digital products and services
  • Be an engaging storyteller and communicator, able to speak fluently to business people, designers, engineers and other partners
  • Know how to embed user-centred design practices into an agile workflow to deliver timely findings
  • Be able to provide publications and/or online portfolio of user research projects (or samples of preview work) - to which you have made a significant contribution
