Are you our new Head of PDU Packet Core?

Do you like positive challenges and have a drive for transformation changes? Would you like to be leading and empowering people in making a significant impact on Ericsson's core business? Are you ready to tackle the challenge of leading the evolution of the R&D unit that is "the core of 5G Core", have multiple stakeholder interactions and high leader exposure?

We are now looking for a Head of PDU (Product Development Unit) Packet Core to continue to secure Ericsson technology leadership within Packet Core. We work in a fast-paced, ever changing industry, so you will need to have a disruptive attitude, be courageous and have the perseverance to lead the PDU into our future with our customers.

You will

  • Foster a creative and learning culture that secures our competitiveness over time
  • Perform product development for SA PC (Solution Area Packet Core), to position Packet Core for future growth
  • Drive an evolved product development Ways of Working towards cutting edge software development principles that secures competitiveness over time
  • Manage and maintain good relationships with all global partners, other product domains, services and Market Areas
  • Secure high customer focus and seek customer delight in everything we do
  • Develop excellent talent (e.g. leaders and engineers) to prepare SA PC and Ericsson for future opportunities


Key Qualifications

  • Significant experience in leading large R&D organization
  • Domain experience: Knowledge of Packet Core is an advantage but not a requirement
  • Ability to operate at the level required for Ericsson's core business
  • R&D transformation
  • A challenge mindset
  • Business understanding
  • Strong leadership skills, high ethical standards and an ability to engage people and interest in developing talents
  • Formulating strategies and concepts and taking strategy into action
  • Education: BSc in Engineering/Computer Science or similar, MBA desirable

Market skills

  • Ability to build trust from our customers globally
  • High responsiveness to customer needs and issues
  • Understand and take ownership for the full TCO (total cost of ownership) perspective of developing and delivering software to our customers


Functional/Technical Background

  • High interest and capability to understand technical trends to capitalize on opportunities and to understand where the industry is going
  • Experienced in creating learning organizations striving for continuous improvement e2e based on trust and transparency
  • Experience in developing Cloud native software and good understanding of Cloud deployments for telco applications
