Our Exciting Opportunity!

Ericsson is currently looking for expansion of our Asset Management Team with a Software Asset Manager (SAM) based out of Kista. As a SAM Manager you are encouraged to ensure Asset Management provides the required value to the rest of Ericsson organization by handling the full lifecycle of the software assets. You will operate in a team acting on a global level ensuring license compliancy while improving the value of the investments made with a proven focus on license optimization and cost saving initiatives. In this role you will work closely together with all relevant partners as Software Vendors, Finance, Sourcing, Product Managers and IT Security. You will collaborate with the Head of Asset Management within Group IT.

You will

  • Own the full SAM lifecycle for a defined group of vendors including the negotiations with the vendor
  • Ensure complete control on costs, compliancy and risks on set of vendors
  • Define a licence management strategy for assigned vendors
  • Plan and build the financial forecasting of software licenses
  • Register all assets in Asset Management Tool
  • Handle the internal cost allocation
  • Handle and track usage of assets in a multi-sourced IT environment

To be successful in the role you must have

  • A relevant university degree, Technical and/or Business Administration
  • Very good communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Excellent negotiation skills and financial acumen and skills
  • Consultative skills, as well as administration and organizing skills
  • Excellent business understanding
  • Very good experience in working with software entitlements, either in a SAM role or at a vendor or reseller
  • Demonstrable experience driving negotiations with large software vendors
  • Familiarity with IT cost saving and reporting initiatives
  • Experience with Software Asset Management tool (e.g. Flexera or Snow)
  • A proactive approach with a results-oriented and commercial demeanor
  • Analyzing and flexible abilities
  • Proficiency in English, both verbal and written
  • Certification as CSAM
  • Being able to deliver results!
