Our Exciting Opportunity

Business Area Networks (BNEW) is responsible for Ericsson´s industry leading radio products and solutions and is the foundation for Ericsson's technology leadership. BNEW is focused on securing our ongoing market leadership in radio, taking a leadership position in 5G, and continuing to invest for sustainable technology leadership within a highly competitive market!

The Operation Center section within DNEW/Development Services and Infrastructure (DSI)/Production Services Operations (PSO) is now looking to expand the team with a Technical Program Manager who will play a meaningful role within the ESP POP (Production Operations Program).

Are you ready?

DNEW, is accountable for Radio Design that fulfills the assignments received by Product Area Networks within the budget frames from Business Control. We leverage leading radio business opportunities and secure technological evolution!

Within DSI, we are in the phase of building a service-minded organization capable of providing a world-class environment that is flow-optimized, and will simplify and reduce the vast variety of existing development and test environments including tools.

The position will be based in Kista, Sweden reporting to the Manager Operations Center.

You will

  • Drive technical analysis / projects /cross-functional programs for the 70% of the time
  • Act as a Change Weekend Driver (Approx. three weekends per year) for 30%
  • Manage major impediments in problematic areas
  • Perform root cause analysis
  • Drive improvements both technical and process related together with stakeholders
  • Facilitate collaboration and coordination of activities during maintenance weekends, between DNEW/Service Area Networks (SAN), and minimize impact to the business
  • Coordinate change weekend activities across DNEW


To be successful in the role you must have

  • A University degree (MSc or BSc) or equivalent
  • Experience and good understanding of DNEW SW development, e.g. flows and critical components
  • Excellent knowledge of Ericsson's DNEW tools/service environment
  • Demonstrated leadership capability
  • Outstanding communication skills and ability to build networks
  • Familiarity with network infrastructure and connected servers, applications, and tools
  • Competence to influence across organizations, effectively leading change, originating ideas, gaining commitment
  • Genuine interest in development infrastructure/development environment/production architecture
  • Proficiency in English, both written and spoken
