Our Exciting Opportunity

Ericsson Dynamic Activation is positioned right in the middle of the operator's business support system and the technical infrastructure in the network. Dynamic Activation is a key part of Ericsson's 5G system, setting all customer and service data in the 5G network and an enabler of migrating 4G customers to the new 5G infrastructure. The product is in an essential and expansive phase right now. The first product transformed to cloud-native architecture including the 5G business requirements was released in Q4 2020.

Roughly 130 colleagues are working with Dynamic Activation in Karlskrona and another 60 is based in our Shanghai office. We are working in teams of 7-8 individuals and have the total responsibility from requirements, through development, test, and support - a true small company

We are looking for a Configuration Manager to seek the responsibility to be part of our PLMS (Product Lifecycle Management) transformation for Dynamic Activation in Ericsson 5G solution in Next-Gen OSS architecture. The transformation will include new tools, way of work and processes.

As a configuration manager, you will work closely with the program, colleagues in the release process and support functions.

You will

  • Manage product configurations and documents according to Corporate Basic Standards
  • Configurate products for releases and drops according to the release/drop the plan
  • Responsible for revision- and version handling of products during development and maintenance
  • Handle requirements to product structure from a CM perspective
  • Analyze configuration issues and propose appropriate resolutions
  • Ensure that quality assurance and control activities are performed
  • Supervise that the product under release fulfils the planned requirements e.g. regarding PR/DS-codes, adherence to CM and document plan etc.
  • Handle administration and support of tools used during the product's life cycle.
  • Store and release documents
  • Develop and perform continuous maintenance and improvement of the CM routines, checklists, and templates
  • Report to Line Manager Dynamic Activation


You have a positive approach to change and are flexible with respect to tasks - willing to expand the CM role into new areas/activities when needed. You are a keen learner and always work across the organization to drive more efficiency and effectiveness. You support the organization to align ways of working to increase speed, ensure quality and improve customer satisfaction.

As a CM in our organization, we expect you to be collaborative, transparent and adapt ways of working to the best benefit of the product and organization.

To be successful in the role you must have

  • 6 + years of experience in the IT/Telecom industry
  • 6 + years of experience in a multicultural environment
  • Years of experience in areas related to delivering products to markets and customers
  • Experience with product structuring and document structuring
  • Recent experience with CM tools and methods
  • Effective communication skills
  • Problem-solving skills and analytical ability
  • Ability to actively share knowledge
  • Ability to work in a structured manner
  • Can take lead in the CM work within the project
  • Proficiency in verbal and written English and have good presentation skills
  • Good knowledge of Ericsson Corporate Basic standards and product handling and how to apply that is a merit
