Our Great Opportunity

Customer interest and expectations on security is growing, especially with the introduction of 5G and related services. Product security and information protection are high priorities at Ericsson.

You will work in a team responsible for Security Risk Assessment and Vulnerability Analysis (VA) of Ericsson products in the RAN networks with focus on 5G. You will be involved in performing VA assessments and tests, penetration tests, produce VA reports, and together with the systems team, secure formal risk assessments on both feature and product levels.

The verification work is a mixture of white and black box testing using common tools such as kali-suite, Nessus, fuzz-testers and craftsmanship that goes along with the area. But you can also be involved in many other activities such as different investigations and improvements within VA test area.

You will

  • Participate in test analysis for features and products
  • VA analysis for new features, products and new attack surfaces
  • Investigate new VA tools
  • VA verification, evaluate test results and present your findings
  • Feedback programs and projects based on performed risk analysis
  • Drive improvements in VA area together with the rest of the team
  • Develop competence in technical domain


To be successful in the role you must have

  • BSc/MSc level in a technical field or the equivalent level of knowledge
  • At least 3 years with Security experience
  • Genuine interest in software development and product & application security
  • Some experience from working in a mixed target environment including embedded systems, Linux and highly distributed systems
  • Experience of programming in php/python/bash/java or similar environment
  • Experience of troubleshooting, problem solving and end-to-end thinking
  • Collaboration, teamwork, and communication skills
  • Ability to communicate and present results in English, both verbally and in written
  • Understanding of automation in development processes such as DevSecOps & CI/CD is a plus


Knowledge in the following is an advantage

  • Risk Assessment and threat modeling methodologies and tools
  • Network Security and information security standards
  • Software development skills
  • Certifications: CEH, Security +, OSCP, GPEN or similar
  • Air interface or Cloud experience and related tools
