We are a newly formed organization within Business Unit Networks that seeks to work closely with our customers, passionate about delivery of virtualized Radio Access Network solutions.

We try to accelerate the product development with new fresh thinking. We challenge the established flow with new methodologies and are active in the open-source communities.

We are now looking for an addition to our team, with technical experience, who has a strategic mind and good interaction skills to take a leading role for one or several product areas. If you are up for this challenge, then you should become our new Test Manager.

This Test Manager role is part of the vDU unit within PDU Cloud RAN.

You will

  • Be responsible for analyzing functional and non-functional requirements for testability.
  • Plan, coordinate, and control test activities such as testing budget, scope and risk management;
  • Act as an interface between program management, EPIC-drivers, testers and the developers;
  • Lead the definition and implementation of test strategy, test plans.
  • Assess the efficiency of the test effort;
  • Implement and sustain continuous process improvements;

To be successful in the role you must have

  • Very good communication and presentation skills.
  • A collaborative approach which makes you a phenomenal teammate.
  • Excellent problem solving and interpersonal skills and possess a can-do attitude.
  • Ability to see the bigger picture.
  • Academic degree, minimum on bachelor level, in engineering (IT, Telecom).
  • 3-5 years' experience of deploying system test and leading testing team.
  • Proven experience in Test Management position with knowledge of performance, functional and regression testing procedures.
  • The ability to Identify the testing requirements and ability to document the test scenarios.
  • Planning, organizing, leading, moderating skills
  • Experience in a wide variety of testing efforts, techniques, and tools.
  • Knowledge and use of quality management methods, tools, and technology used to create and support defect-free, application software.

Additional qualifications

Understanding of
  • Embedded type of SW, on a COTS HW. (COTS meaning x86, AMD, GPU or other HW, which can be deployed in a Cloud environment.)
  • the Linux ecosystem and ability to use DPDK and smart Network Interface cards (smart NIC) to optimize the data processing path.
  • concepts like Docker containers, Kubernetes deployment, Helm charts and canary deployment.
  • the basic principles, processes, phases, and roles of application development methodologies;
  • Cloud Native Development Pipeline principles and tools - CI/CD (DevOps), Jenkins, Spinnaker is an asset.
  • Cloud-Native core principles, DevOps and Ecosystem a plus - microservices, K8S, Docker, Helm, CI/CD (DevOps)
  • Knowledge in RAN, 5G NR and LTE 3GPP standards
  • ISEB/ISTQB Software Testing qualifications
