Our Great Opportunity

Product development unit Compute & Digital Silicon (CDS) System department is the department developing system solutions for Ericsson Radio base Station (RBS) with the main focus on 5G. We develop IP Transport, Interconnect (fronthaul), Synchronization, Resource & Equipment Handling and Architecture for all standards. We drive strategy and development plans for multi-standard RBS platform. We are working in teams and our focus is on Lean and Agile ways of working. Competence build-up is an important part of our daily work.

For you who wish to develop and work as a system designer. We are all technical leaders working to develop the system solutions and requirements. You will continuously learn and develop your knowledge and skills with fun and challenging tasks over time.

As a technical system designer you will perform, participate and/or lead solution studies and setting up technical requirements based on customer requests and product improvements. Work includes performing system technical studies were we decide how the function and/or feature shall be implemented in the Radio Node. In the studies you will cooperate with designers in Software, Hardware and verification as well as other system developers. You will also bring the costumer perspective into our design solutions in collaboration with strategic product owners.

To be successful in the role you are

  • a soon to be or recent graduate holding a Master's degree in computer engineering, electrical engineering, telecom or similar.
  • someone with knowledge in telecom
  • able to plan and drive your own work, as well as work in teams
  • a great communicator
  • a person with a logical and orderly approach to analyze problems and who can prioritize work and plan actions
  • someone with a positive approach for innovating, adapting and responding to change
