Our Exciting Opportunity

As part of the Ericsson Global Consulting unit, this position will enable the individual to employ analytical skills in a consultancy role to help customers address key strategic initiatives in the novel areas of 5G, IoT, Private Networks, Cloud, Customer Experience, Customer Onboarding & Billing and Network Operation and Orchestration for Telco customers addressing B2C and B2B opportunities.

The role will focus on the Business and Technical aspects of key strategic initiatives in these novel areas. Individual will be working with Ericsson colleagues from different business functions and with clients all over the world. These engagements will require the individual to be perceived by clients and colleagues as highly dependable and domain credible. The role will be global, and individual will travel internationally as and, when required / allowed, extensively (during normal conditions, could be up to 75%).

Though primary base location for this opportunity is India, but good candidates globally will be considered. As a result, candidates in other locations will also be considered

In this role, you will

  • Identify strategies for growth and value creation for the telco operator and perform analysis of the current and desired situation on the specific domain product or internal capability area.
  • Define full vision and set recommendations of the desired situation. This can involve aspects like network roadmap, use cases to be selected, business cases to support the recommendations, go to market strategies to make such selection a reality, pricing models to get a profitable outcome, and operational aspects to guarantee the right delivery.
  • Compose the right argumentation mechanisms and frameworks to communicate the vision to the different partners at the Telco organization and support in the execution of the proposal.


Within a Consulting project, you'll run/support the project in multiple capacities:
  • Strategy Workstream (WS) Leader: A project is typically divided into one or more work streams. A WS leader has an end-to-end responsibility of allocated WS (in terms of driving the WS autonomously, helping the Consultants as required, reviewing their work, and delivering the project related documents)
  • Strategy Business Consultant: Consultant is an individual contributor responsible in delivering the strategic engagements based on allocated work.
  • Technology Consultant: Depending on your specific skills, you may be encouraged to contribute on specific technical aspects of the project, including use case high level design.


To be successful in the role you must have

  • 6 plus years of proven track record in Telecom Industry / IT is preferable in at least one of the following verticals: 5G, Cloud, BSS, OSS, Digital Transformation, IoT.
  • Solid grasp in areas such as business planning, growth planning, go-to-market strategy, business case formulation, customer experience strategies, etc.
  • Telecom Engineering or Business Administration Degree (MBA) from a Tier 1 Business School
  • Interest and knowledge of the current trends in the global Telecom industry (latest technologies such as 5G, IoT, Telco Cloud, etc.) is preferred
  • Experience working in a Telecom operator or Tier1 consulting firm
