We are system verification team consisting of both Verification Engineers performing manual and automated testing, and Automation Engineers responsible for the automation factory used as traffic engines in e2e Business Support System (BSS) scenarios. The team is distributed primarily in Karlskrona Sweden and Indaiatuba Brazil. You will physically be located in Karlskrona and have a close collaboration and cooperation with the colleagues in Brazil.

We are now looking for creative and upbeat Software Architect to join this team. You will own the evaluation of new technologies and tools, define strategies for them and secure they are implemented with a good technical architecture in both a manual verification as well as CI/CD context. You'll be responsible for development and the evolution of the BSS automation factory which is the engine that generates wide, complex and various patterns of BSS traffic towards the Ericsson BSS system to simulate a real-world telecom operator.

A successful candidate enjoys taking ownership and arguing for his or her opinions and encourage team collaboration to find the best technical solutions. He or she can see the bigger picture for how the team contributes to the whole.

You will

  • Do coding in Java and Python
  • Do software modelling and define sustainable architectural solutions
  • Evaluate new technologies and tools, define strategies for how to use them and own its implementation.
  • Collaborate with peers from other parts of the organization.
  • Become our specialist to whom the other Automation Engineers can seek support and mentoring.

To be successful in the role you must have

  • Master's or Bachelor´s Degree in Software Engineering or Computer Science.
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience as Software Developer with good programming skills in Java and Python.
  • Excellent knowledge of software design and modelling.
  • Excellent knowledge or high interest in DevOps, CI/CD, Automation and Cloud Native principles.
  • Experience in Linux environments and tools like Git, Gerrit, Maven, Jenkins, Spinnaker, Docker, Kubernetes etc.
  • Leaderships skills where it's meriting with experience of technical leadership roles
