Our Exciting Opportunity

Development Unit Networks (DNEW) within Business Unit Networks (BNEW) is the organization within Ericsson that develops Radio products for 2G, 3G, 4G and 5G.

BNEW DNEW DSI DAC DE 1 (Development Services and Infrastructure, Design and Cloud environments, Design Environment 1) is a central group of senior and driven developers.

BNEW DNEW DSI DAC DE 1 is responsible for bringing in the Linux Operating System into DNEW. Included in this responsibility is to drive and steer the supplier to implement the correct features in the OS that Ericsson cannot do on our own, due to legal reasons.

Linux constitutes a very large part of our products and hence is important!

We are now looking for a Technical coordinator keep track of what packages and versions exist in the Linux distribution used in DNEW products and to coordinate requirements from the Product Development Units (PDUs) and put those requirements on the Linux supplier.

The role also means being part of various pre studies regarding requirements for new products.

You will

  • Work together with PDUs to create requirements needed for future development with Linux as operating system
  • Work in close cooperation with Linux vendors to make it possible to fulfill PDUs requirements in the best possible way
  • Keep track of what packages and versions exist in the Linux distro that we use in, current and future products
  • Participate in studies about new products related to 5G and beyond and also new Linux implementations
  • Perform continuous analysis and requirement handling
  • Drive enhanced of "way of working" for product development based on Linux
  • Drive technical alignment workshops between Ericsson and Linux supplier
  • Keep close cooperation with sourcing, group function and technical management

To be successful in the role you must have

  • Master´s degree in Computer Science or equivalent
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience within software development
  • Domain experience: Embedded Linux, Linux distros
  • Solid Project and Program Management Skills
  • Coaching & Mentoring Skills
  • Negotiation Skills
