We are looking for a person to strengthen the Build and Automation Team (BAT) for the Ericsson Mobile Financial Services development organization. You will be part of a growing and dynamic development organization that is developing the next generation Software delivery pipeline (CI/CD) for the Ericsson Wallet platform. As well as supporting the development teams to enable efficient development environments.

The product that you will work with improves the lives of millions of daily users in Africa, the Middle East and Latin America. By building our financial platform efficiently you will help to bring financial freedom to many people around the World.

Ericsson Mobile Financial Services helps operators and service providers to prosper in the digital economy.

What you will work on

Work in ET mainly covers software development and the team is responsible for tools to enable an effective and highly available development environment.

You will work to develop automation and adapting tools used in multi-level pipelines in the development, release, and deployment flow for a more efficient development environment.

Our development organization is growing as we are expanding more sales, and we need to expand the team.

Our ways of working are based on agile DevOps principles, where Agile is a cornerstone in our development methodology. Working with Continues Improvement and environment maintenance is also part of the role.

This is you

In addition, we see you being creative and always striving to find new ideas and solutions with a positive and inspiring approach in your everyday work!

Core Competences:

  • Java, any scripting language, configuring and/or maintaining CI servers and CI/CD pipelines, GIT, Linux, Docker and k8s.


Competences considered a merit:

  • Preferred but optional: Gradle, system administration, Bash, Ansible, Gitlab, Jenkins, Oracle, tools for test automation, ELK.


To be successful in the role:

  • + 3 years of documented work experience in SW development.
  • Experience from working with Lean & Agile principles and like to work in a flexible team environment.
  • Great interpersonal skills, flexibility and willingness to adapt & respond to change


Education Requirements:

  • BSc or higher equivalent education in Software Engineering, Computer Science or similar


Living in Karlskrona

Our main development center is in the coastal vibrant city of Karlskrona, Sweden. Here you find a rich social life, a dynamic business landscape with lots of focus on mobile technology and the well-renowned Blekinge Institute of Technology. House prices are at attractive levels and you can easily find your very own seaside place. The South East part of Sweden has oceanic climate and the region is sometimes referred to as the Garden of Sweden. There are direct trains to Karlskrona every hour from Copenhagen and Ronneby airport is located only 30 minutes from the office. Ericsson's Karlskrona office is in a premium site in the city, with good options for parking and public transportation. Karlskrona is very accessible with bike lanes, many of our colleagues choose to walk or cycle to work.

Covid19 situation

We at Ericsson have been working from home since March 2020 and the plan is to continue until the end of the year 2021.

When we can safely start the phased approach to increase access to the offices, we won't go back to our old ways of working.

In parallel to the ongoing work to monitor the Covid-19 situation, Ericsson has worked on a model for the future workplace and launched new Global Flexible Work Guideline. This will offer more flexibility for our people to decide where, when, and how to work.
