Our Exciting Opportunity!

We are now looking for a Solution Architect that will streamline and optimize our deployment operations. Heavy use of automation tools and ideas to utilize new technologies is a critical component to being an addition to our team.

The Solution Architect typically interacts with engineering, development, operation managers, service engineers and other groups within the Service Delivery organization. You may also interact with groups in sales, R&D, 3rd party suppliers and local authorities.

As there are no distinct borders between the areas, you will need to be flexible and master more than one area. You are expected to travel internationally and work in different cultural environments. The technical development is rapid and you are responsible for continuously keeping your competence and skills up to date.

Working as a Solution Architect will require a broad knowledge within telecom and Datacom, covering both hardware, software and network knowledge. You will work, collaborate, and communicate in an international environment, both with colleagues internally as well as customers and suppliers to Ericsson. The role more than often requires you to take on big responsibility and it is important that you can work independently.

You will

  • Work with various automation technologies, e.g. Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, Chef, PowerShell, Docker, DSC, Gitlab
  • Provide input on new technologies to streamline deployment processes and provide a consistent deployment process
  • Monitor security related issues for all Company internal and external environments.
  • Assist customers' understanding of all products and perform demos of the Company's solutions.
  • Install, configure, deploy and support the Platform as per customer requirements and perform troubleshooting and issue resolution.
  • Provide technical support to customers.
  • Analyze customer requirements and ensure products meet customer requirements.
  • Coordinate with Research and Development (R&D) teams, identify issues, provide customer feedback to R&D teams and resolve issues especially as related to Security issues.
  • Perform troubleshooting on issues and perform tests on bugs.
  • Participate in pre-sale meetings, sales meetings, technical meetings and prepare training programs for customers.
  • Determining operational feasibility through analysis, problem definition, requirements gathering, solution proposal, and solution development.
  • Working collaboratively and professionally with other team members to achieve customer goals.
  • Reviewing product and/or application information including documentation for technical accuracy, as needed.
  • Advanced understanding of Active Directory and associated Microsoft technology stacks, including Azure AD
  • Advanced knowledge of VMWare, Citrix, Remote Desktop services stacks
  • Intermediate knowledge and experience with Microsoft Azure, AWS and Google Cloud
  • Patching operating systems and software inside customer environments during/before/after business operational hours
  • Such other activities and responsibilities as assigned to you from time-to-time by the Company.
  • Intermediate understanding of DNS, Networking, Load Balancers, Azure NSGs, Firewalls, VPNs, Certificates, OS Imaging and Group Policy
  • Ability to produce documentation for architected solutions

To be successful in the role you must have

  • Experience from technical job roles is required, e.g. experience from work as an Integration Engineer or Software Developer
  • A Solution Architect candidate is assessed according to the following tracks:
  • Domain, E2E, Network Optimization/Network Design, Fiber Network Design and Site Energy Design.
