5G is happening now and disclosing every day new opportunities. Do you want to be a Product Owner in our organization and help craft the future of the 5G Packet Core community at Ericsson in Gothenburg?

We at Ericsson Packet Core (PC) in Lindholmen are now looking for a talented Product Owner to join our team. Our headquarters is based in Gothenburg, but we also have offices in Stockholm, Shanghai and Madrid as well as strong dependencies to our operations in Budapest, Beijing and Bangalore.

We are looking for a skilled, self-motivated Operational Product Owner to lead our Test Framework teams. Your teams possess a broad understanding of our lab and test environment area, responsible for development, maintenance and support of the cloud environment and test frameworks used for test of our products. Your teams work according to scrum principals (cross-functional, self-organizing and highly independent) with a close collaboration with you, their Operational Product Owner.

Responsibilities & Tasks

Together with your teams, you are responsible for the test framework environment used to verify the quality of our Packet Core products, as well as supporting tools and applications.

Within the above area you:

  • Prioritize the feature backlog and make sure it is visible, and transparent.
  • Secure that the teams know what we do and why we do it to ensure high team motivation
  • Communicate, collaborate, and align with our internal partners.
  • Develop business and technical understanding within the domain
  • Discover value, improvements, technical debt and make adoptions for placement in your Product Backlog
  • Synchronize with other OPO:s / APO:s (Area product Owners)
  • Ensure that the solutions crafted by Test Infrastructure teams are cost efficient
  • Drive commitments and continuous improvement with energy

Furthermore, as our OPO's are one of the leaders in the organization and around the teams, it is important for you to have a high interest in people, processes and technologies

To be successful in the role you must have

  • 3-5 years' experience as an OPO/PO (product owner) or similar
  • High business understanding and good understanding of the domain/area
  • Good presentation skills to be able to connect with partners, operators, and customers at various levels
  • Good communication skills and appreciate teamwork
  • Experience from working according to Lean and Agile
  • A capability to prioritize and make key decisions

What makes you stand out

  • A history of working with Packet Core products
  • Experience working with applications installed on virtualized and or cloud native platforms such as OpenStack and Kubernetes.

Minimum Qualifications & Experience Requirements:

  • BSc or MSc level in a technical field or the equivalent level of knowledge
  • Good English language skills, both verbal and written
