PLM IT Architect - Product Life Cycle Management:

We are now looking for a PLM IT Architect to the PLM Transformation Execution Architect team. Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) is important in most of Ericsson's business flows. PLM enables product information creation and usage during Development, Manufacturing, Sales, Delivery and Support and includes people, ways of working, business capabilities, applications, data and technology. A continued digital transformation of Ericsson's PLM solution is vital for our ability to continue to evolve our business models, explore new ways of engaging with customers and enable smarter product development and manufacturing. The target is a fully connected, data driven PLM.

Business Area Networks (BNEW) has been given the corporate responsibility for Development, Delivery and Operation of Ericsson's PLM system which includes the digital transformation of the PLM solution. We are now establishing the organization that will enable this PLM transformation.

Our target is to define, implement, verify, integrate and deploy a solution consisting of a set of product modules, supporting the business needs. We expect you to come with a demeanor fit for DevOps where you will contribute in any aspect you are capable of, and where reaching the common goal is our guiding star in the everyday work. We work with multi-functional teams with agile methodologies.

Our Exciting Opportunity!

As a PLM IT Architect you will work with different IT related architecture issues in our Multisystem Landscape. You will, together with the Platform Program CPD (Common Platform and Data Integration Layer) work with Security, Integration/API architecture and support other functions in the PLM Transformation Execution with IT Operation competence. This covers various types of information/data in the PLM systems accessible from APIs or other customized integrations for specific purposes.

You will!

  • Collect, identify, align business requirements in prioritized potential change areas, based on customer and business needs and new possibilities derived from the PLM solution
  • Support with knowledge and definitions of available and potential APIs to our Multisystem Landscape to support the value flows we define in the transformation
  • Define and ensure governance structure and alignment to common architecture principles
  • Be the architect SPOC for security related issues, working closely together with the Operations' Security team
  • Together with the PLM transformation initiatives deploy new ways of working meeting Customer Expectations
  • Align with IT for API Management and protocols
  • Align with Overall security strategy working with Overall PLM landscape


To be successful in the role you must have:

  • Education: A degree in IT or the equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience of Information and IT Architecture in a sophisticated environment
  • Minimum 5 years' experience of IT Security, Integrations and APIs
  • Minimum 5 years' experience of working in an outsourced IT environment


IT would be good with:

  • Experience from SW development
  • Change & Improvement Management Skills
  • Ability to prioritize and lead requirements on tactic and strategic level
  • Advantage to have an understanding of Ericsson System Landscape
  • Advantage to have an understanding of System partners.
  • Advantage to have an understanding of PLM Process
