Our Excellent Opportunity:

We are now looking for an Enterprise Architect to the PLM Transformation Execution Architect team. Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) is important in most of Ericsson's business flows. PLM enables product information creation and usage during Development, Manufacturing, Sales, Delivery and Support and includes people, ways of working, business capabilities, applications, data and technology. A continued digital transformation of Ericsson's PLM solution is vital for our ability to continue to evolve our business models, explore new ways of engaging with customers and enable smarter product development and manufacturing. The target is a fully connected, data driven PLM.

Business Area Networks (BNEW) has been given the corporate responsibility for Development, Delivery and Operation of Ericsson's PLM system which includes the digital transformation of the PLM solution. We are now establishing the organization that will enable this PLM transformation.

We are now in the process of strengthening the organization responsible for Ericsson's PLM transformation, and we are looking for you who has experience from larger PLM transformations and PLM solution implementation. You understand the different aspects of Enterprise Architecture and what is needed to be able to execute transformation.

As an Enterprise Architect you will work with different PLM improvements across the Ericsson organization to identify, drive, support and facilitate efficient, effective change & performance improvements - from business needs to business results to build a new, transformed way of working with our PLM solution. We transform, prioritize, design, document, deploy, maintain, support and improve processes in order to secure efficient operations and process flow while deliver excellent business and customer value and experience. The improvements may be run in different ways: work streams in major transformation initiatives, projects/programs/line.

You will!

  • Lead investigations in early phases involving architects from different domains and participants from different parts of the business
  • Analyze and convert overall business flow capability needs into architectural components and high-level solution designs.
  • Translate high level functional requirements and user-stories to implementation proposals in accordance to the architecture principals and guidelines
  • Anchoring of the architectural principles in implementation / transformation proposals, by working cross-organizational and with the business (e.g. end users, functional area leads, IT, suppliers, etc.)
  • Participate in exploration of industry leading PLM models and principles
  • Lead and participate in PLM system studies


To be successful in the role you must have:

  • Bachelor, Master, PhD e.g. within ‘Product, Process and Production Development', ‘Business Process Management', ‘Lifecycle management', ‘Informatics', ‘Enterprise Architecture'.
  • Thorough experience from larger PLM transformations and knowledge of PLM solution architecture.
  • Proficient understanding of Information Models, Data Models and Process Management
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience from working in a multi-stakeholder environment
  • Broad knowledge of business support systems including PLM systems
  • You are a "Go-To" person with a collaborative approach
  • Proactive and creative problem solver with the ability to multitask
  • Confident with the ability to empower your standpoints
