Our Great Opportunity

Product Development Unit Radio drives the end-to-end research and development of Ericsson's radio products and solutions. We are a global organization, within Development Unit Networks (DNEW), of approximately 3,000 engineers and developers collaborating across nine sites in Canada, China and Sweden to drive Ericsson's strategy of securing our ongoing market leadership in radio, taking a leadership position in 5G.

Beginning of 2020 PDU Radio launched an organizational and operational transformation to facilitate the gradual, but the rapid change from radio boxes to functions and modular architectures. By improving our ways of working and organizational structure we will also:

  • Enable key technologies faster and shorten product TTM
  • Meet the portfolio demands more efficiently with better quality
  • Plan and drive quality activities and make them stick.
  • Strengthen product architecture and systemization
  • Move from a too tactical setup towards a more strategic one
  • Develop the competence and careers of our people through a targeted People Plan

Quality Assurance is a section in the Radio Product Sweden 2 sector that focuses on end-to-end radio product development for the site to enable efficient WoW and shorten TTM with high Quality.

The position is based in Lund and may require travel to other PDU Radio sites in Sweden, China, Canada as well as different vendor visits.

You will

  • Drive Quality activities in the RFIC (radio-frequency integrated circuit)/Mixed signal ASIC projects.
  • Secure process adherence via our milestone passages for the RFIC/Mixed signal ASIC projects
  • Secure risk management in the ASIC projects
  • Secure and establish yield improvements forum together with the supplier.
  • Be the contact person regarding ASIC related issues in product production.
  • Be the quality contact person towards RFIC/Mixed Signal ASIC suppliers regarding qualifications and other Q activities.
  • Drive lessons learned within the internal projects and with the supplier according to our established process.
  • Sync with the main ASIC Project Manager


  • Several years of quality experience within R&D and ASIC including customer/vendor interaction.
  • Manufacturing process skills and 8D methodology
  • General technical competence of ASIC knowledge
  • People Leadership, communication, and networking skill.
  • Presentation skills, including the ability to present on difficult topics in front of customers/vendor/higher mgmt.
  • Customer/vendor focus with an emphasis on seeing the big picture and making decisions.
  • Analysis and planning abilities
  • Risk and Change leadership skills
  • Strong will and drive to achieve needed results.
  • Ability to work fully independently and adapting to current situation.
  • Fluent in English
  • Project management skills preferred.
