About PDU Radio:

Product Development Unit Radio (PDU Radio) drives the end-to-end research and development of Ericsson's radio products and solutions. We are a global organization, within Development Unit Networks (DNEW), of approximately 3,000 engineers and developers collaborating across nine sites in Canada, China, and Sweden to drive Ericsson's strategy of securing our ongoing market leadership in radio, taking a leadership position in 5G!

About Radio Systems & Technology:

Radio Systems & Technology drives radio product and technology evolution, high-level systemization, architecture definition, standardization, mid- and long-term development plans, and long-term product plans (products and features) for PDU Radio!

You will : -

  • Drive or participate in Radio product early phase studies, e.g., product concept studies, technical analysis studies, continuous analysis studies, business case studies, etc.
  • Interact with Product Management and technical specialists to define the radio portfolio and product requirements
  • Evolve the Radio HW and SW architecture and system-level design to meet the product requirements, e.g., design-to-cost, energy efficiency, etc.
  • Deliver and present radio product solution proposals in different review forums.
  • Participate in strategic work to evolve the long-term radio portfolio solutions, technology, and architecture.
  • Provide system-level design consulting/support in product development phase when it is needed.

To be successful in the role you must have : -

  • Minimum 5 years working experience in Radio design (could be in one area of Radio product)
  • Problem-solving and study-driving skills (Planning, analysis, communication, presentation, etc.)

You should ideally have : -

  • Knowledge and Experience in Radio Base Station (RBS) or Baseband system or HW/ SW design implementation, architectures, integration, and verification
  • Radio Requirement refinement and allocation skills (from RAN, RBS-level to Radio level)
  • Documented work experience as team leader to plan and deliver technical solutions
  • Interested in business case analysis and proposals
  • Want to solve problems and make things happen
  • Craftsman's spirit inside of you and you want to make an influence in Radio product design decisions
