Our Exciting Opportunity

Embedded Power is now looking for a Power Architecture and System Developer with an interest in power requirements, architecture, and systems. Your main task is to perform studies and analysis of power systems and create requirements with the target to build a coherent power architecture. You will interact with several technical disciplines across Ericsson, such as Board Power Design, Product Management, Networks System, etc. The section also performs product development of power products, together with external suppliers. We work in agile teams with highly skilled colleagues and your tasks may vary to support the success of your team and Ericsson. Primary location for this position is at Lindholmen, Gothenburg, Sweden. Part time of your work may be performed working from home if you choose to do so.

This position reports to Martin Olsson, Manager Embedded Power.

You will

  • Participate and/or drive power system and architecture studies
  • Perform Pre-Development to investigate new technologies and products for business opportunities
  • Apply, evolve and create power system requirements to ensure a coherent power architecture
  • Extensively collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure a modular power architecture and requirements that support that architecture.
  • Participate in the power product and system development to ensure the use of applicable requirements and architecture.
  • Constantly work with improvements and continuous learning
  • Support your agile team's dedication, and take various tasks like product development, supplier collaboration etc.

To be successful in the role you have

  • BSc or MSc degree or equal through work experience
  • Proficiency in English, written and oral
  • Ability to work in an efficient and structured way, in an often-complex environment
  • Drive, take initiative and are willing to adopt new methods and techniques
  • Good communication skills and ability to lead others
  • Ability and skills in technical writing to be precise in requirements and technical reporting.
  • Ability and interest to review standards and requirement databases.
  • To enjoy the creative and innovative phase to look for new better solutions, seeking for customer impact.
  • Ability to lead and drive yourself to be fully accountable for your tasks and the team's overall commitments
  • To support, mentor and collaborate extensively with your colleagues.
  • Embrace the agile way of working in a hardware development context

  • Interest and knowledge in power system simulation
  • Interest and knowledge regarding power standards and standardization work
