Our Exciting Opportunity

Public Safety organizations worldwide are modernizing their communication from legacy Land Mobile Radio to Mission Critical push-to-talk over LTE/5G. New networks and solutions are emerging right now and will evolve into one of the most important use cases for 5G.

Ericsson's Mission-Critical Application (MCA) offers managed group communication such as push-to-talk, text, files and video over LTE/5G. These capabilities aid ambulances, fire fighters and police in their mission to save lives, reduce suffering, and prevent unnecessary property damage.

The role itself

The Development Program Manager plans and secures all necessary activities for continuous product development. The role establishes continuous product development ways of working and secures good collaboration, communication, and visualization of plans/progress. Key responsibilities are:
  • Program planning and execution to secure continuous development (features and defect corrections)
  • Identifying and implementing improvements
  • Securing that plans are based on agreed capability
  • Consolidating a holistic view of capability need and bottlenecks
  • Managing and visualizing dependencies
  • Visualizing plans/progress (incl. test) and promptly highlight deviations and risks
  • Driving scenario planning that enables swift actions if situation changes

The product is in an early phase of its life cycle, identifying and ensuring that improvements are implemented is thus a key element. MCA has development teams at our sites in Sweden, Spain and India, both own staff and suppliers.

Essential skills and experience requirements
  • Self-driven, result oriented and proactive
  • High competence in driving change
  • The persistence to secure that tasks are completed.
  • Expert knowledge of both Agile and traditional project management principles and practices. These skills should be based on 5-10 years' work experience.
  • A passion for teamwork, and the ability to successfully collaborate across organizational borders in a multinational environment.
  • Excellent English communication and presentation skills.
