Our Exciting Opportunity

Development Service Infrastructure (DSI) within Development Unit Networks (DNEW), has the mission to enable efficient development worldwide with our engineering environment as a competitive advantage, for present and future business needs. This is achieved by enabling flow and willingness, improve collaboration with aligned way of working as well as optimizing efficiency through infrastructure sharing. The STP & NW Infrastructure (SNI) Sector within DSI is responsible for supplying System Test Plants and NW Infrastructure required for DNEW Product Development.

ESP (Ecosystem and Product) Program provides an ecosystem and infrastructure to the engineers, so they can quickly innovate, develop and deploy value to, and with, our customers.

This Ecosystem and Infrastructure will be an Engineer Centric end to end Program that will accelerate the development, maintenance and evolvement of both the Product and the Production.

We are now looking for a Chamber Deployment Manager in the Over the Air (OTA) Chamber Program within the ESP Production Program. The program's main role is global planning, deployment and management of OTA Chambers, required for the testing of Ericsson products.

You will

  • Work closely with End users and Partners, to secure input and feedback
  • Collect, define and analyze requirements related to new and existing OTA Chambers
  • Evaluate, propose and drive technical solutions
  • Deploy OTA Chambers and technical solutions in the OTA Chamber domain
  • Actively participate in OTA Chamber build activities, as required
  • Be an active part of relevant fora in the ESP Production Program and in PDU Requirement Areas
  • Work closely with ESP APO's and Program managers.

We expect you to have a holistic attitude, critical thinking and that you generate energy. This role is of a very technical nature, so you need to understand the technologies, requirements, standards and challenges related to Over the Air Testing.

You will be encouraged to bring questions to consensus or decisions and deploy solutions widely inside and outside the program

To be successful in the role you have

  • B.Sc. or relevant education on similar level
  • A capability to always improve, as well as a sense of urgency
  • A broad technical interest and knowledge
  • Skills to drive technical challenges independently as well as in a group
  • Skills to fluently communicate technical issues with vendors and colleagues
  • Integrity to drive the best solutions for Ericsson
  • Excellent communication skills, required to work across organizations and companies
  • A quality attitude and critical thinking
  • Business understanding
  • Deep knowledge in 3GPP/OTA 5G requirements & standardization for Radio base stations (AAS/NR etc.)
  • Solid knowledge in the Radio performance verification area
  • Experience from Regulatory approval/market access requirements for radio products
  • Experience from CATR/Reflector technology, far field vs. nearfield criteria's as well as PWS (Plane Wave Synthesizer array technology)
  • Experience from RF OTA (Over the Air verification) in general (RF & Functional)
  • Experience in collaboration/negotiation/business agreements with 3rd parties/chamber vendors.
