At Business Area Digital Services (BDGS) we are working at the core of the 5G evolution, delivering cost efficient software solutions that make core networks high-performing, automated and highly programmable - key to enabling network slicing and edge computing, allowing for relentless efficiency and new revenue streams. Digital Services provides solutions and platforms in OSS, BSS, Packet Core, Communication Services and Cloud Infrastructure - leveraging cloud native and automation technology.

BDGS Architecture & Technology drives architecture and technology transformation across BA Digital Services, securing Technology Leadership and defining Standardization and Open Source strategy. We are working internally as well as directly with key customers to define our architecture and technology strategy and evolution.

We are now looking for a SW Technology Specialist to identify and drive software technology advancement in development and testing. We are looking for a candidate interested in efficient development including low-code to increase reuse, or code performance, or test complexity.

  • You will be the evangelist of the area and work towards wide adoption of the selected technologies
  • You will be capable of proving the value of the technologies in comparison to others and convince different stakeholders
  • To achieve the above you will have to:
    • Design and develop proof of concepts
    • Benchmark technologies to assess cost/benefits
    • Manage projects related to the activity.
    • Champion standardization and technology
    • Drive knowledge sharing and learning

Key Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in engineering, PhD in engineering or sciences is an advantage
  • Min 10 years of experience
  • General understanding of telecommunication network architectures
  • A significant experience with modern SW technologies development and/or testing (min 5 years)
  • Deep knowledge of any of the following technologies (or similar): Source code analysis, fuzzing, perf & PGO/LTO
    • Language server, AST
    • GraphQL, JSON Schema, OpenAPI
    • DSL and declarative including reactive programming
  • Fluent in English
