Our Exciting Opportunity

Packet core (BDGS) develop and deliver packet core solution for mobile networks. With us at BDGS you'll be part of the next step in development of our products. We enable millions of simultaneous connected mobile users while handling traffic from IoT to 4K video in Gbit speeds. BDGS will become the partner of choice of Telecom operators using the latest technologies in cloud and automation to manage complexity so the ambitious can differentiate with TCO efficient solutions for programmable 4G and 5G networks, automated operations and digital engagements.

We are currently looking for a System program manager, for handling the system activities needed to develop one of our 5G products, Packet Core Controller (PCC).

The system program manager role is a key role within our organization, focusing on technology leadership as well as business needs in a balanced view.

As system program manager for system architects, you will coordinate their assignments within PDU Packet Core activities. You will have a close cooperation with different parts of the system organization.

One of the most important things is to be able to investigate most urgent and important things first according to a technical perspective of how to build a complex, flexible, scalable, robust SW system in a good way.

Our new product portfolio with Packet Core is based on cloud native principles, we aim to create a common architecture for all Packet Core Network functions optimized to execute in cloud environments.

Technology utilized include container technology like Docker and Kubernetes, microservices architecture and databases like Redis. Cloud Native Platform is currently a key area of packet core products.

We stand at the forefront of Agile software development, using methods and principles from Lean and Agile methodologies to create a product that excels. Early customer and stakeholder interactions are a key element in our development process. We rely on team collective responsibility to complete all tasks according to a prioritized backlog.

You will

  • Coordinate the system architect's assignment within PDU packet core.
  • Create update and prioritize the system architect's backlog.
  • Keep track on the incoming requests from our stakeholders (Chief architects, Products Owners, system projects, solution line).
  • Accountable for creating and visualizing plans and progress and promptly highlight deviations and risks.
  • Responsible for securing good collaboration with all the stakeholders.
  • Visualize status for ongoing SMs activities.
  • Inform and secure long-term plan for system architect's activities going forward.

To be successful in the role you must have

  • Experience from technical project management or similar.
  • High business understanding.
  • Experience from earlier system assignments.
  • Deep understanding of the domain/area.
  • Strong communication and leaderships skills. (Be able to communicate and lead technical system personal).
  • Great teammate and good people skills.
  • Make decisions.
  • Drive commitments with high energy.
  • Experience working according to Lean and Agile way of working.
  • High interest in people, processes and technologies.
