Our Exciting Opportunity

Do you like working with people? Strategies? What about steering and leading Ericsson Silicon development for 5G and 6G products? Then, we are looking for you!

Ericsson is looking for an experienced manager and leader to enable our Lund Architecture section within the ASIC and FPGA Lund Department. This position is located in Lund, but the expectation is the leader of this position will work across the global Digital ASIC and FPGA organization in addition to Standards and Technology, PDU Radio and PDU Compute and Digital Silicon to help define and refine our roadmaps and strategies.

Digital ASIC and FPGA sector delivers ASIC and FPGA solutions to Radio and Base Band products

You are expected to guide, mentor, empower and develop individuals as well as to foster an innovative and learning culture. You are also responsible for defining and executing team strategies based on the overall goals and strategies of the Department, Sector and Product Development Unit.

You will

  • Lead and manage the Lund ASIC & FPGA Architecture Team as well as being an active contributor to the ASIC & FPGA Lund leadership Team
  • Foster a motivating, customer oriented and exciting work environment
  • Help drive Make/Buy decisions with stakeholders and industry design houses.
  • Drive reuse and project optimization strategies at project predevelopment and pre-execution phases.
  • Deployment/Improvement of Agile/Lean WoW within whole organization
  • Recruit and Retain Key Engineers needed to execute on these responsibilities as needed.
  • Coordinate with Standard &Technology, R&D and Product teams to ensure industry leading roadmap and IP.


To be successful in the role you must have

  • A genuine interest and good understanding of digital ASIC/FPGA technology
  • Ability to think strategically and multi-task on multiple sophisticated projects in parallel.
  • Strong technical leadership skills with a high accountability to deliver results
  • Significant silicon vendor connections and a robust network within the silicon design engineering community.
  • Knowledge and experience of R&D processes, including lean & agile practices
  • Ability to find and drive continuous improvement work
  • Strong experience in development initiatives in multi-site organizations or projects
  • Several years of experience within R&D organizations and/or Product Management with emphasis on seeing the big picture and making decisions
  • Strong communication skills and a good relationship builder
  • Large degree of flexibility and willingness to tackle different tasks
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills in English

You are analytical, structural, result oriented and will find creative solutions when lacking information and act outside your formal area of responsibility when needed
