Great Opportunity

PDU Cloud RAN within Business Unit Networks is passionate about delivery of virtualized Radio Access Network (RAN) solutions and seeks to work closely with our customers.

We try to accelerate the product development with new fresh thinking. We challenge the established flow with new methodologies and are active in the open-source communities.

  • Full stack virtualization of the 5G New Radio (NR) Control Unit (CU) and Digital Unit (DU)
  • Centralized Radio Access Network (CRAN) & Distribute Radio Access Network (DRAN) configurations
  • COTS HW including L1 accelerators where needed
  • Cloud Native infrastructure
  • Open interfaces (e.g F1, X2/Xn, A1, 01, LLS…)
  • Architecture for automation, AI and machine learning


At vDU Base and LB, we are now looking for a Study Lead for the Cloud RAN Low Band DU Study backlog. The role also includes part time actively drive and lead studies in and beyond the vDU

Cloud RAN DU functionality spans L1 and L2 as well as the DU part of L3 for NR. It also includes Deployment aspects, Operation & Maintenance, Transport etc. Typically, functionalities include interfaces and protocols, algorithms, connection handling, dual connectivity, and carrier aggregation.

You will

  • Work with an internationally distributed team
  • Collaborate with the Architecture group, Technical Coordinators and SPM to prioritize and execute the Study backlog
  • Track and coach team members to follow existing Way of Working and deliver high quality systemizations with real customer value
  • Collaborate with line managers, technical coordinators and development teams in people discussions/allocations
  • Follow-up the studies to secure the quality and on-time delivery of studies
  • Report and present the team status regularly in different fora and reference groups
  • Actively improve WoW in the team: enable and coach the team members to engage with customers during their work, and understand the customer's point of view.


To be successful in the role you must have

  • Knowledge, experience, and background from previous leading roles such as KanBan master, Team leader or similar as.
  • Knowledge, experience, and background in a system (or similar) role in adequate technical areas
  • A personality and workstyle to handle difficult and fast paced situation to secure people in a changing environment.
  • A creative and innovative attitude and the ability to work easily with other people
  • An ability to plan and drive your work, and together with the team work towards common goals
  • An ability to adapt and respond quickly to change and deliver results to meet customer expectations
  • Excellent communication skills
  • MSc level in a technical field or the equivalent level of knowledge. Education and experience in telecommunication are beneficial.
  • Familiarity with 5G NR and LTE 3GPP standards.
  • Product development experience in Wireless embedded SW and/or Cloud Native product development, systemization, design and test
  • Good knowledge and understanding of the Product Development and the Product Life Cycle (beneficial).
