Our Outstanding Opportunity

Do you succeed driving difficult multi-functional transformation? Do you agree that Automation, AI and analytics technology will change (and already is changing!) the way we work? Do you have good understanding and connections within one or more Ericsson critical business flows? Then this might be the right position for you!

You will be an important team member of the Group IT Solution Area Automation & AI, driving strategy and execution in intelligent automation and AI for enterprise & services workflows. The individual will be responsible for championing the transformation journey and the Group IT engagement towards all five Market Areas (MANA, MELA, MMEA, MOAI and MNEA). The role includes line management of several Business Transformation Leads as well as management of potential team bundling roles such as Solution Managers, Lead Data scientists, team leads and Innovation Drivers as well as significant delivery capabilities to deliver maximum business value to the stakeholders. The individual occupying this role will be dedicated to working multi-functionally partnering with different units and stakeholders on all levels, influencing strategies, objectives and targets of the unit. The ideal candidate will have relevant experience in managing digital transformations and Intelligent Automation and AI initiatives specifically.

Description of the Unit

Group IT is a function hosted in Business Area Managed Services with the aim to shape and execute our digital strategy, vision and to ensure multi-functional execution. Automation & AI is a key theme of Ericsson Digital Transformation and Group IT continues to build up world class competence in this area to drive business transformation, and to ensure secure and scalable development, deployment and continued operations of automations.

This position will be focusing on supporting Ericsson's Market Areas and accelerate their automation journey and will be working with the Head of Intelligent Automation & AI Business Transformation.

You will

The role demands considerable flexibility in quickly adapting to shifting needs, and is expected to effectively cover a range of responsibilities including, but not limited to:

  • Establish Intelligent Automation and AI Transformation vision and strategy in set scope to drag business value through automation & AI offerings
  • Lead engagements towards set stakeholders and organizations across all Market Areas
  • Line Management of several senior and self-driven Business Transformation Leads based in multiple locations and time zones
  • Lead potential team for the wider TA team and business stakeholders
  • Influence unit level priorities and roadmap to successfully manage the ground-breaking aspects of Ericsson's automation journey
  • Actively participate in Transformation Leadership team to drive overall Transformation agenda in the Intelligent Automation and AI space
  • Ability to persevere, have persistent and continuous engagement to drive the digitalization agenda across business areas.
  • Establish regular governance across various levels to ensure stakeholder alignment entire business area
  • Manage identification, assessment, and prioritization of opportunities through discovery assessments and align commitment with respective business unit sponsors
  • Manage overall program steering in the unit(s), performance, benefit realization and long-term transformation agenda
  • Collaborate with stakeholders at different levels in the units and champion change and transformation enablement
  • Provide thought leadership and shape the knowledge base within Automation & Artificial Intelligence areas.
  • Collaborate within the team to bring the best possible automation and transformation solutions across Ericsson


To be successful in the role you must have

We have high expectations on you as an individual, to bring a good combination of broad-based business, leadership, and functional experience:

  • Ability to influence across the organization, effectively leading change, originating ideas, championing and gaining commitment
  • Ability to communicate and drive engagement towards c-suite stakeholders
  • Ability to mentor and guide the business transformation leads to assess automation opportunities across the business areas.
  • Deep level of understanding and experience in technology strategy, operations transformation, technology adoption, digital transformation, one or more Automation, Analytics & AI technologies (AI, Data Analytics, RPA, Blockchain, cognitive, low code etc.)
  • Good understanding of translating business strategy to automation and work to build plans to support transformation using technology
  • Excellent senior stakeholder management and presentation skills
  • Recognized or developing inspiring leader in automation
  • Experience in leading high caliber teams and an orientation towards achieving results
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Solid ability to linked with confidence in front of an audience
  • Management consulting or strategy & execution experience is a plus
  • Master degree in Engineering or Business Administration or equivalent experience
