Our Exciting Opportunity

Group IT is a function hosted in Business Area Managed Services with the aim to shape and execute our digital strategy, vision and to ensure cross-functional execution. Automation & AI Execution is a key theme of Ericsson Digital Transformation and Group IT continues to build up world class competence in this area to drive business transformation, and to ensure secure and scalable development, deployment and continued operations of automations.

We are now looking for the new f Head of competence center - RPA and Hyper Automations competence center!

For this position we are looking for a highly qualified Line Manager with RPA and Hyper automations experience to join our team! You will manage a team of Senior Project Managers and Solutions Architects, all experienced and with established competence in RPA and Hyper Automations area.

This role is key to the Automation & AI Execution team. You will be responsible for further building the execution team and the RPA and Hyper Automations competence within the own unit and across Solution Area Automation & AI organization.

You will drive identification, establishment and extension of the competence. Secure that the right people are allocated to deliver forceful solutions regardless of where they are developed or deployed.

You will be dedicated to working cross-functionally partnering with different units and stakeholders on all levels, influencing strategies, objectives and targets of the unit. The ideal candidate will have relevant experience in managing digital operational transformations and automation initiatives specifically and in fostering new competence and ways of working in a cross-organizational setting.

You will

  • Manage technology and product leadership with focus on competence
  • Competence development and training across SA A&AI
  • Process ownership and ways of working
  • Resource identification and allocation from SA line, competence hubs or partners
  • Own competence and training budget, Identify innovation and improvements
  • Mentor and foster learning across competence areas
  • As an individual contributor, work with large transformation opportunities during initial definition phase
  • Line management responsibility


To be successful in the role you must have

  • Education: MSc/BSc in Engineering or Business
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a leader in Intelligent Automations (RPA, AI/ML, Cognitive, Low Code etc..)
  • Domain experience in Automation & AI technologies
  • Excellent and proven co-operating skills
  • Coaching & Mentoring Skills
  • Leadership experience from new areas or areas under rapid development
  • Formulating and communicating strategies and concepts
  • Proficient in English, written and spoken
