Bachelor thesis - focus area abstract/ project goal/ objectives:

High-Level Synthesis verification flow

High-Level Synthesis tools enable automatic translation of an abstract specification (e.g. a C style code) to the hardware design. These tools reduce the design efforts and help overcome time-to-market challenges. However, the verification of an automatically generated netlist is posing new challenges for the verification engineer. This research effort will focus on an exploration of tools and practices, that can lead to an efficient verification of a design implemented by a high-level synthesis tool.

Requirements/ key qualifications:

  • Good knowledge of RTL design,
  • coding experience in C / System C and verification.
