Our Exciting Opportunity

We are working on a use case where a scalable video management system capable of low latency video analysis is a key component, and we are looking for a team of two MS thesis students to help us with this task! The goal of the analysis is to accurately position persons, obstacles and moving robots. The system will be capable of analyzing many camera video streams in parallel with very low latencies on multiple GPUs for accelerating of AI/ML. Such analysis takes much processing resources. To manage the scale of the system, we need to investigate algorithms for video data filtration that will enable us to reduce the number of video frames that need to be analyzed. These filtration and analysis algorithms will be combined with novel techniques for speeding up ML/AI, e.g. exiting the analysis when we have a good enough answer. This way we would be capable to increase the efficiency of GPU resources, reducing the energy and computational resources.

You will

  • Study and expand on existing low latency analysis by introducing filtration analysis
  • Develop a proof of concept implementation of the filtration methods in a video processing pipeline
  • Evaluate quality and performance for filtration on a system level for multiple streams


To be successful in the role you must have

  • A background in electrical engineering, computer science, computer engineering or similar.
  • Experience with/completed courses in AI/ML algorithms within video processing.
  • Experience with/completed courses in relevant programming languages.
  • Familiarity with virtualization, containers and Linux is highly recommended.
